I am born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and currently live in Ohio, United States 🇺🇸

This is my first time writing for readers, I'm sure there will be a lot of typos, but I hope you'll read it with a kind heart:)

My parents named me "Kaede" because I am born in October, 2002 and it has a meaning of "maple" in Japanese.

Gender: Female

Personality: INTJ (architect)/ INFJ (advocate)

My Uniqueness: Type 1 diabetes (onset in summer 2023)

Hobbies: Reading, Cooking, Exercise, Language Learning

I Am Good At: Doing nails, Being able to sleep anywhere

My Motto: "Life is not easy, but it is simple."

🎓 Student Life

In 2021,when the effects of COVID-19 were still being felt, I enrolled in the School of English Language and Communication, College of Foreign Languages at Kansai Gaidai University, and in my first year of university, I took classes remotely and in a hybrid format, spending my freshman year without making any friends.

In my sophomore year, face-to-face classes began, and I gradually made friends and thought I was finally enjoying a normal university life, but in the summer of my junior year, I found type 1 diabetes (that's a story for another time;)).

I extended my university life and came to the United States for two-year long-term study abroad program starting in the fall semester of my senior year.

Now, I am a university student in Ohio 🇺🇸

💻 What Made Me Start Blogging?

Since I started studying abroad, I have been posting videos on TikTok,but there is a limit to what can be conveyed in 1-3 minutes, so I was looking for a platform where I could dig deeper into the videos and photos and share them.

In the Digital Marketing class I'm currently taking for '25 Spring, I was assigned to create and publish my own website, and this website is the assignment with theme of personal branding.

In the process of creating it, there was a condition that I would publish a blog or vlog, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to start publishing blogs and vlogs in earnest, and so I started blogging🌱

🚩 What I Want to Write From Now On

I would like to keep a record of my university life in the United States, my illness, the cultural differences between Japan and America that I have seen through my illness, and the things I like on blog posts as memos.
